Message from our Chapter President

Francis Rodríguez, Treasurer

As President of the National Supermarket Association Florida Chapter, I am pleased to take a moment to reflect on our collective accomplishments over the past year and to express my gratitude for the dedication and commitment of each member and all partners who make our association thrive.

As the retail business continues to evolve rapidly, our industry has proven to be both resilient and adaptable. Together, we have navigated supply chain challenges, embraced new technologies, and implemented safety protocols that ensure the well-being of both our teams and the communities we serve. Our members have gone above and beyond to uphold our mission of providing accessible, high-quality, and affordable products to consumers across the state of Florida.

One of our most significant  complishments this year has been the Food Insecurity Initiative, developed in collaboration with Miami-Dade County and supported by NSA stores and local distributors who donated food to various food banks. This initiative has greatly aided individuals and families in need. Additionally, our NSA Cares initiative on Mental Health Awareness, in partnership with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), underscores our dedication to this critical cause. Together, these efforts not only demonstrate our commitment to positive change in the industry but also highlight the strength of our collaborative work within the association.

I am also proud of the growth in our membership, which has reached 110 stores. We are thankful and committed to our new members across the state of Florida. This expansion reflects our reputation as a valuable resource for industry expertise, networking, and advocacy. Each new member brings unique insights and perspectives, strengthening our association and allowing us to better represent the needs of the supermarket industry in Florida.

Looking forward, we remain committed to addressing key industry priorities, including advancing digitalization, enhancing sustainability practices, supporting retailers, promoting health and wellness, and engaging with our communities. We believe that, through our collective efforts, we can continue to shape a positive future for our industry and make a lasting impact on the communities we serve. It is an honor to lead such an exceptional group, and I am confident that, together we will continue to achieve greater things.

Thank you
