In 1981, Lipari Foods hosted the first ever Deli & Specialty Food Trade Show in the Detroit metro area – featuring such novelties as the U.S.S. Lipari Sub Sandwich and a sneak peek at “the deli of the future.” Over thirty years later, the Lipari Food Show remains the premier place to get inspired and grow your retail or specialty foods business.
Lipari has acquired 18 distributors & manufacturing facilities.
Over the years, Lipari Foods has experienced tremendous growth throughout its history. The growth has come in many forms: acquisitions of distribution businesses, partnerships with several wholesale warehouses, and product expansion into packaging, seafood, and confections. In 2006, Lipari Foods built its current facility to customize space, technology, and accommodate anticipated future growth.

For 60 years, Lipari Foods has been a premiere wholesale food distributor focusing on the “perimeter of the store”. We distribute over 31,000 items across multiple departments including deli, bakery, meat & seafood, dairy, confections, packaging, specialty grocery, prepared foods & foodservice, international specialty, frozen retail, & convenience food & beverage.
Your network continues to expand annually which includes distribution covering 27 states, servicing 10,000+ customer locations. We currently have over 2,000 employees in our footprint servicing our accounts.
